Trigger Transformation, LLC is proud to announce that Joey McCord has joined its executive team as Chief Technology Officer. McCord brings more than 20 years of experience to the Baltimore-based company that is using technology to transform how organizations assess and develop their employee talent.
McCord will oversee all aspects of product and technology for Trigger, playing a major role in developing the platform’s road map, scaling the company’s business teams and driving data science.
“After 12 months of careful development and testing, and the successful launch of our software earlier this year, we’re helping clients across multiple industries apply Trigger’s performance development strategies and actionable management solutions to their workforce,” said Lisa First-Willis, Trigger CEO.
“As we move to the next stage of growth for both our customer base and team in 2019, we wanted a market-driven approach to cultivate our product and guide our technology. Joey brings proven product leadership, strategic leadership in organizational development, and a rich background in scaling applications, data science and operations.”
McCord was previously with ICX Media, Inc., where as co-founder, COO and CPO, he spent the last several years framing the vision for the startup’s video intelligence platform as well as building a dynamic team of engineers, operations analysts, data scientists and others from the ground up. He brings product and technology expertise as well as executive-level leadership from several other successful startups, including Baltimore-based Millennial Media (acquired and renamed ONE by AOL in 2015). A graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, McCord also received his MBA from George Washington University.
“Trigger has hit on an issue I’ve encountered countless times in my career: Capturing and keeping the right pulse of my team’s growth. I’m ready to overlay my experience in building emerging products, data science and marrying client growth with engineering scale, to achieve Trigger’s goal of revolutionizing how companies approach performance development.”
Trigger Transformation, LLC was born when Gerry Sandusky, WBAL-TV sports anchor and play-by-play radio voice of the Baltimore Ravens, considered the benefits of bottling the approach and methodology that professional sports teams use to evaluate and grow talent. The need he heard from the business community for more timely and effective performance management led to the launch of Trigger’s cloud-based tool in 2018 to transform how companies evaluate performance, develop talent, grow stronger teams and build better organizations.
