Tips on Starting a Remote Job

By Samantha Bailey, Social Media and Marketing Intern on Mar 30, 2021 12:36:38 PM

Searching for a job and going through the hiring process remotely is strange. It’s more strange, however, to start a job remotely. There is no first day lunch with the team. No tours of the new office or meeting new colleagues. There is no access to paper files and notes from a predecessor, or time to sit down in the office with a boss or teammate to learn. Starting an unfamiliar job with an unfamiliar company, with no face-to-face interaction can be challenging. However, it looks as though remote work and collaboration are here to stay. In a PWC survey, 78% of 669 CEO’s agreed that remote collaboration is here long-term. Therefore, if you plan or anticipate a job change in the foreseeable future, you will need to adapt to a new way of onboarding.

How to Inspire Disengaged Employees

By Mike Anthony on Sep 25, 2020 12:54:00 PM

Employee engagement has always been a struggle, and the 2020 pandemic only amplified the issue. Feelings of disengagement may come from lack of motivation or training, life changes, role changes, lack of success, being in the wrong role, not knowing if they’re succeeding at their job, insecurity, office politics, rumors, – the possibilities are endless. If an employee doesn’t know if they are performing at the expected level, they will rapidly become disinterested, and less and less productive. The onus is on management and leadership to figure out the source of disengagement and begin a path to recovery. Check out our five tips for engaging the disengaged:

As organizations develop their HR strategies this year, a focal point will be improving both in-office and remote employee experiences. In fact, 58% of organizations are redesigning their companies to become more people-focused. Continuous feedback platforms are a critical piece of the puzzle. Bottom line, it’s time to rethink your performance management and development strategy.

When we founded Trigger Transformation Inc, aka  Truvelop, back in 2017, we did so with the intention of disrupting the annual review methodology to be more consistent and data driven, using real-time evaluation and continuous feedback from managers as data points.
