Truvelop Tip: Prepare for Year-End
At the end/start of any quarter or performance period, it’s always a good idea to reflect on current performance. What is going well? Where do I need some additional support and guidance? How do I want to spend my time and energy going forward? As we enter the final quarter of the year, this exercise will be especially important for creating an efficient strategy that will help your team close out the year focused and inspired. Get started below.
Contextual Reporting: When was the last time you updated the goals for your Team Member(s)? Check out Contextual Reporting in the Team Member dashboard to search for past Goal(s) Sparks. Provide necessary updates or adjustments. By updating your team member’s goals, they will see that their development continues to be a priority, boosting their engagement and commitment to the organization. Check out Goal-Setting for additional guidance.
Building Motivation and Engagement: Speaking of commitment, when was the last time you met with your team to discuss their current motivators and demotivators? Try asking them these simple questions: How much of your work do you find inspiring? How much of your work do you enjoy? How much of your work do you find demotivating? By understanding your team member’s current engagement with their work, you can stay proactive and share appropriate support and guidance. Check out Building Motivation and Engagement for additional guidance.
Year-End Review Guide: The end of the year will be here before you know it. Start renewing commitment from your team now, by connecting their day-to-day performance to their larger career aspirations, the team’s goals, and the organization’s mission. Emphasize their purpose and impact to boost feelings of belonging and motivation. Check out the Year-End Review Guide to start organizing what you know about this team member.
