Last week, Customer Success Team Member Juliana Withers hosted May's Truvelop User Community Lunch and Learn about Leveraging Different Leadership Styles to Connect with Your TeamGreg Moran, Co-Founder of Evergreen Mountain Equity Group and founder and former CEO of Harver (Outmatch), was our guest speaker and shed incredible insight on how important leadership is for successfully trailblazing a direction forward, especially for young organizations or organizations in transition.  In all of our group discussions, we heard a lot of amazing ideas and perspectives from our user community, making this Lunch and Learn one of our best ones yet.

The Importance of Situational Leadership

While there is no one right way to lead your team, our users agreed that situational leadership and the ability to know what your team needs most is what distinguishes an okay manager from an effective and inspiring leader.  There's a time and a place for transformational leadership or being a servant leader, but the important piece is recognizing what those times and places are.  This skill takes effort and time to develop, but can really make a difference in how connected a manager is with their team.

An Interview with Greg Moran

Greg Moran, in addition to his robust history of leading organizations, is also the co-host of the Founder's Journey podcast.  In each episode, he interviews organization founders about their experiences raising companies from the ground-up. This has allowed him to gain a unique perspective on the traits that make-up an effective leader.  See his interview with Juliana below:

As Greg shared, every leader is going to have their own approach and is going to have a unique background and skill-set.  There are so many factors that go into having an engaged team, but it all starts with strong, adaptive leadership.  Our user community recognizes and embraces this perspective, and with Truvelop, they're able to leverage tools and resources at their fingertips to help them engage, inspire, and ultimately retain their team.
