In addition to our Manager-facing messaging that goes out each month, our Customer Success Team shares best practices for Team Members as well. These messages highlight how they can leverage Truvelop to further their own growth and development, while also strengthening their relationships and boosting their engagement. Here's an excerpt from June's Team Member Truvelop Tip:
This month, we’re placing our focus on the employee experience. BetterUp defines the employee experience as being a subjective experience: “it is the holistic impact of the job and the organization on the individual — how an employee feels, how they perceive their potential and abilities, and the effect on their well-being." There are several factors that can influence your employee experience: your team, your manager, your development opportunities, your sense of purpose, or even your perceived job flexibility. Communicating your needs and advocating for your experience can help you to come to work feeling engaged and inspired every single day.
Truvelop Tip: Advocate for Your Experience
Everyone has different likes and dislikes. Take the first step towards a more positive employee experience by sharing what is going to have the greatest impact on your day-to-day. Your experience is a top priority for Truvelop and for your organization!
Individual Development Plans: Share with your manager your “why,” or what inspires you to come to work and give it your all. Is it because you want to be the best that you can be? Is there someone at home that you’re supporting? Understanding what drives you is a big part of connecting your day-to-day role back to your purpose. Completing the My Motivators IDP guide could be a great place to start.
Recognize Core Values: Do you feel closely aligned to your organization’s mission, vision, and core values? Celebrating what makes your organization special can increase your buy-in and boost your engagement. Set an example by posting to the Recognition Wall when you witness a Team Member living out a core value.
Share Your Feedback: Your Manager and organization what’s detracting from your experience if you don’t tell them. Be sure to participate in surveys your organization posts and share feedback regularly with your Manager. You can leverage Spark for this or share your thoughts in your next employee assessment check-in.
Over the past few years, people’s priorities have shifted. The way we think about work has changed. Employees’ perceptions of their environment and what impacts it are top priorities for every organization right now as they adjust to meet the needs of their people. Sharing your voice is a great way to shape your culture and create the best possible employee experience.
